Winter Rye

A grass grown for grain and forage. Used for flour, bread, beer, whiskey, vodka and animal fodder. Winter Rye is planted in the fall to provide ground cover for winter. The grass grows during the warmer days of winter and can be used to control the winter-hardy weeds. It can be harvested or tilled into the ground to provide organic matter.
