A long-lived, mildly sod-forming grass growing to 3 ft. tall at elevations up to 10,000 ft. Characterized by drought tolerance, early spring growth, but fair forage production. More drought tolerant than Western Wheatgrass and is well suited for wind erosion control on medium to coarse-textured soils in the 8-18” precipitation zones.
