A tall, long-lived bunchgrass well adapted to 12” and above precipitation zone. Green Needlegrass normally grows from 2-4’ in height, and can be found up to 10,000 ft. in elevation. High seed dormancy levels are common and fall dormant planting is recommended. Good drought resistance. Used for pasture, hay, and soil stabilization in the northern Great Plains.
