A perennial flower also known as Spiked Gayfeather, or Blazing Star. The most moisture tolerant of all of the gayfeathers. Native to the eastern United States, but can be grown on the plains on moist soils. It can reach heights of 5-6 ft., and produces blooms in late summer.
