A wildflower, also known as Sundial or Wild Lupine, found throughout the United States. Purplish-blue to white flowers that bloom April – July along dry, open woods and fields. Performs best in full sun with dry to moist soils. Perennial Lupine is the only food for the larvae of the Karner Blue butterfly. Both fire suppression and habitat loss have contributed to the decline of the lupine and the butterfly. Grows from 12-24” in height and can be found at elevations up to 11,000 ft
