Crested Wheatgrass is a drought and winter hardy bunchgrass that grows to 3 ft. and has an extensive root system. The fairway varieties are selected for their sod-forming ability, and perform well for erosion control. Hycrest is a hybrid cross between Standard Crested Wheatgrass and Desert Wheatgrass bred for higher yields. Hycrest is well adapted to sagebrush and juniper sites in elevations up to 9,000ft.
