Mexican Hat (Ratibida columnifera forma pulcherrima) has red flowers in the same cone shape as the yellow Prairie Coneflower and is more commonly found in the Southwest. Very drought tolerant and an excellent reclamation species. They normally grow from 18-36” in height and can be found up to 7,000’ in elevation. Flowers bloom from July – October.
